This guide will show you the steps to upload your new skin and enable it from your template options. (If you are looking for the guide to install a new template, click here.)
You will need to connect to your hosting server. This guide shows me using File Manager with cPanel. The steps are same for FTP or any other hosting platform.
Step 1. You need to go to the directory where you uploaded the FSB script and then find the “templates” folder.
Step 2. In the “templates” directory you will see the free templates that come with FSB and any paid templates you have installed. This guide is showing me uploading a new Skin in the Contempo template. You will need to go into the template folder that matches the skin you are uploading. The skin file name will always include the main template name.
Step 3. Click to go into the “skins” directory.
Step 4. Now you will need to upload the skin file you got from freshwebmarket.com.
Step 5. Once the file has been uploaded, right click on it and click on Extract. If you don’t see the zip file, click on the “Reload/Refresh” link.
Step 6. Now you will need to login to your freshadmin control panel and click on Template – Template Options.
Step 7. Click on “Template Options” tab to select the new skin you have uploaded. Make sure you have the correct main template selected or you won’t see the skin to select.
Step 8. Click on “Template Skin”
Step 9. From the drop down menu select the new skin you just uploaded and click “Save Option”
Step 10. Now you just need to delete the cache from Tools – Delete Cache and your new skin will be installed. You can go thru the “Template Options” tab to see all the options your current skin has.
